Diesel Mechanic Washington/BC

Not sure this is tech or not, but posting here.

Recently had my 3b rebuilt by Jonathan Hebden, with Firestorm Mechanical on Vancouver Island.
Jonathan was professional, communicated well and honest the entire time. Does great work too!
Have about 3k miles on the rebuild and running great. Had a broken crank shaft, and ended up getting a different block, thanks to Gerg on here as well, who is also a great guy.
I got the reference from John with RADD cruisers, who sourced the parts, who was a huge help and resource.

hope this helps someone looking for a good mechanic.

I am looking for an experienced diesel mechanic in the NW to rebuild my B motor from my 78BJ40. It doesn't look like Firestorm Mechanical is still in busieness. Anyone have other suggestions?

I am in the process of having a 3B rebuilt as well. I am up in Bellingham, Wa. I am planning on taking the long block to Dunns Specialty Service. He will do the head work, and rebuild the long block. Hope that helps.

Just dropped off the long block today. In person, he seems like a solid guy. Word of mouth has been good as well. He was finishing up on a Yanmar Diesel motor and it looked like new. He also had a couple blocks that he was working on. I will let you know how it goes.
