Up for sale are an assortment of parts for your diesel conversion needs:
1. VW 1.9TD (AAZ) with Acme Adapter ($2500) - This came out of a Canadian-spec 1996 Passat. I don't know how many miles are on it, but it looks to be very clean and the IP looks to be fairly newly rebuilt. It has upgraded Euro-spec GTD bosio nozzles (very cool). It also has the Acme adapter kit with the Toyota 22R option (ACME ADAPTERS Suzuki Samurai Turbo Diesel). This kit will allow you to drop this engine into any Toyota pickup or 4-runner that had a 22R-style motor or used a 22R-style transmission. In other words, it will mate to a G or W-series transmission that has the 22R bellhousing. It will also mate to an AX5 or AX15 for a Jeep application with a few minor modifications (ask me if you want to know more. It basically involves swapping out the input shafts with the respective Toyota input shaft. The AX5 and AX15 are basically Toyota G- and R- series transmissions with slight differences). This is a very nice package all set to go. The Acme kit has never been used (but is installed). I would prefer not to part out the kit, but might consider it for the right price. Acme also makes kits to put this engine in a Suzuki, and simple and cheap switches of parts might allow you to use this kit in a Samurai (ask Acme, though, for everything that would entail)
2. Toyota R151F Bellhousing ($350) - This is the rare and much sought after bellhousing that allows you to mate the super strong and super awesome R-series transmission to a 4-cyl. engine (22R-series or 2L-series...maybe 3L, too). No modifications are necessary. It was only produced for 2 years (1986-1987) and was originally mated to the 22RTE. This is a great upgrade for any Toyota truck or 4runner. The R150 is one of the strongest Toyota transmissions every built. Google it. You'll see. This is for a pre-Tacoma R150 or R151. The Tacoma R150 has a 7.5" input shaft which is 1" longer than the pre-Tacoma shaft (6.5"). It can be used with a Tacoma R150, but a 1" spacer will have to be fabricated. Otherwise, all bolt holes are the same. The price might seem high, but this is a very rare bellhousing and I searched long and hard for it and paid a pretty penny for it, myself.
3. R150F transmission ($350) - I believe it came out of a '99 Tacoma. It shifts through all gears just fine. No bellhousing. I also have a t-case that goes with it, and would sell them together for $500. Otherwise t-case sells for $250. It also came out of a '99 Tacoma, but on an automatic transmission (A340).
4. Advance Adapters adapter plate to mate R150 to 22R-style bellhousing ($400) - (712562 | Engine & Transmission Conversion Adapters - Advance Adapters) This is another option for those wishing to put an R-series transmission on their 22R-series powered Toyota. Same caveats as before (pre-Tacoma is fine, Tacoma means adding 1" spacer). This is also new, but is currently installed on the R150F that is for sale. Will remove it for buyer unless they want the whole package. NOTE: This plate mated to the above transmission is not complete. It will need the 1" spacer fabricated before it can mate up to your 22R. Aside from the trial installation, the adapter is new. The price above saves you about $50 plus whatever you would have paid for shipping, so I think it's a pretty fair deal.
5. GM (105AMP) alternator with mounting bracket for 1.9TD ($250) - this will allow you to mate the GM alternator to the 1.9TD for use in conversion to Toyota, Suzuki, or whatever application you wish (mine was going to be a Jeep XJ). This is new and in box. Again, I'm basically saving you a little bit plus shipping.
6. Jeep AX5/NP207 combo ($300) - out of a 1986 2.1L TD Jeep Cherokee Laredo. The transmission has a bad second gear syncro, I think, so it may need repair. The t-case is just fine, and both worked fine while I had them in the Jeep. Only occasionally would it pop out of second gear, but never so often that I felt rushed to get it fixed. It will come with a new-in-box input shaft ($90 value).
7. G52 input shaft ($50) - this is new, but not in box. I had originally bought it to swap into the AX5 to mount to the Acme adapter, but later decided I wanted to put the R150 behind the engine. It has never been used or even installed, but it is no longer in box.
If you want it all as a package, make me a reasonable offer. I'm thinking something around $4k, but who knows, I may become more motivated when I see your offer.
I was originally going to use all of this for a 1.9TD into a Jeep XJ conversion, but have decided to go MB diesel instead. If you want the benefit of all of my research, I'd be happy to tell you how to get this engine into an XJ. I know all the ways in which it can be done. The 1.9TD is a great engine, can be tuned to pretty respectable numbers with turbo, intercooler, and exhaust modifications, and is IDI so will work well with Veggie oil. For those wanting it for a Toyota or Suzuki, it's pretty much drop in simple (all you'll have to do is fabricate motor mounts for the Toyota. Acme sells mounts for the Suzukis).
Don't have any pics at the moment. All of the stuff is with my mechanic. I will try to get pics soon.
All prices are OBO, but please don't low ball. I went through a lot of time and expense getting this stuff all together, and am willing to wait for the right price. If you have any questions about the parts or the conversion, feel free to ask.
