Pulled out a Jeep, and a Nissan 4x4, all with my stock little LX. These guys were like hey we are stuck do you know anybody that can get us out? I was a little offended when they asked, but after they explained they just didn't think I would hook my Lexus up to pull them (to nice of a truck they said).

Needless to say with very little effort, I pulled them both out in a matter of seconds. Took some pics, still havnt figured out how to get them to stay up, so I just posted the link. The Jeep pics, were after I had already pulled him almost all the way out, I just ran out of room, and had to back up, and shorten the strap to pull him the rest of the way.

Needless to say after I pulled them out we went for a little run around the area, and in the end, they were VERY impressed with what my rig was doing STOCK, against there lifts, with A/T and Mud tires. :D :D

Someone has got to go with me down there, good trails, good mud if wanted, and some decent stuff to play on. Nothing major just alot of fun. There is also some really good spots for camping, fishing and just hanging out. It's also pretty clean, I only got about 1/2 of a plastic grocery bag of trash in the 2 hours I was down there.

If someone feels the need, just give me a call. (316)990-2371. I'm up for going again tomorrow. Going to go back down there now, and take some more pics of the area.

I go just south of Wichita on Hydraulic. If you pass 47th st. south, you will come to a bridge a couple miles down the road, keep going until you pass the second bridge. If you look off to the left while heading south over the second bridge you can see alot of sand.

Go about another 1/2 mile or so, there will be a couple new houses off to the left, go to the second road and take a left, its a dirt road. Go to the end of it and it will turn to the left, follow it to the left, before it goes to angle again, there is a spot to the left you can go through.

Take a right after you get in there, and follow it down for about another 1/2 mile. Find the trail of your choice and enjoy. :bounce:

Have any problems finding it give me a call.

Real muddy down there right now though, probably won't go back until the following weekend. I just don't have the traction yet. :crybaby:

Be forwarnd! That is the Big Ditch area and it is off limits. You must acess the river from the canoe launch on the north side of the ditch and stay within the high water area of the river.

You lost me, I don't believe there is any canoe launch anywhere near there. I have been up and down that whole area. Maybe I am wrong, but there are always people out there everytime I have been out there (2-8 rigs). What do you mean by the BIG DITCH area? Are you sure we are talking about the same area?

Please clarify, I don't want to get myself or anyone else in trouble. Thnx in advance,

Jeremy

Well, I went back and read again, a bridge a couple miles S. of 47th would be, I am thinkin the one over the Big Ditch. The next road S. of that bridge would be 71st S.

The canoe launch, Turn an go through the salvave yards N. of that bridge, keep going in an Easterly direction, Road surface from Hydraulic will be sand, asphault, sand and turns to asphault at the big round marker at the enterance to the canoe launch.

I go every Saturday and Sunday if I can, or at the least one of those days. I usually head down there sometime between 12:00 and 4:00p.

Hey man,

Sorry I missed your call, I was heading down the highway to Kingman to go turkey hunting this weekend and was in a no service area.

I am off on Sundays so maybe next Sunday I can head out with you guys.

Are you positive that the area you are wheelin is legal? I cant get arrested, CAUSE I DEN BEES OUTS OF A JOB.

There are always people down there, with there atv's, horses, trucks. I have been down there probably 15 times now, and spoken with quite a few people, and noone has said otherwise.

I don't believe there are any NO TRESPASSING signs, and the trails that are there you can tell have been there for years. I have driven right past a Sherrif coming out of there once when I was stuck in the mud overnight, and he didn't do or say anything.

On a side note also, once you drive off the road into the area, about 5 to 10 secs. later you disappear, and cannot be seen again until you come back out. A car tried to get back there one time while I was there, and it was still there on Sunday when I went back. The car was right near the entrance and could EASILY be seen from the side road into there, and it had no tickets nor any postings on it to be removed.

I can't tell you that it is legal, all I could suggest for you is to meet me out there some Sunday, and you can take a look from the public dirt road, and make your own judgement call.

Or you can go drive by it yourself, Dmidlfing4 was correct it is right off of 71st st. S, you head east on it till it makes a turn around the corner, and then follow it till the next corner, and look to your right. Go in through the opening and head back to the south, go up and over the embankment and POOF! your there.

Have a good weekend, and good luck catchin some Gobbler's!

FatAzzRunner and I!

Met up with Aaron on Saturday, after removal of some parts off my rig.

Cut off the mudflaps, got rid of the runningboards, removed some excess plastic crap, no spare tire. Whats funny is after removing all the crap I measured before and after and ended up actually gaining 6/8 of an inch in the rear and 1 1/8 of an inch in the front, (measured at the fenders, the body lines). I LOVE THE NEW LOOK!

But back to the enjoyable day, Had a few friends show up for the BBQ, Huge F150, a Cherokee, and a Jeep, all pretty tricked out. They took off down to the Hays spot while I was still working on the rig. :crybaby: Thinking I was going to be wheelin alone again I was sad :frown: .

Just then the phone rings and its Aaron (FatAzzRunner), He has some spare time, I told him we could meet down there to get dirty. I will let the pics explain the rest of the story.

During the leisurely drive I thought I found a kewl new spot. Boy was I wrong, STUCK ALREADY! But wait no need to make any phone calls I alerady gots me my towing out budy.

Was a good day, got dirty, got to get a little more wild with my rig, (helps having another truck with you ! Can't wait to go down there again. Once again Aaron thnx for the fun couple hours, hope the wife hosed you off before letting you into the house, (man was he muddy, no DOORS? )

Jeremy

Jeremy,

My wife said I can never wheel with you again...............................................

At least not without her and my other kid! :bounce:

My other daughter was VERY upset with me when she saw my rig in the driveway dripping with mud and she didnt get to go. My wife pulled into the driveway and all I could see was her laughing.

I had a great time and am ready to go again, hell, the mud in the floor mats and under my seat havent even dried yet. I went out this morning and I have hundreds of mosquitoes swarming the truck.

I see you tried out that Photobucket thing, pretty slick huh?.

Here are a few pics not in the shade of the woods.
