Hi I am in the middle of replacing my head gasket. I am throwing a code 71 EGR system malfunction. I was wondering if anyone around Missoula has done the EGR delete? Or would it be easier to just fix the EGR system?

I just shotgun replaced the two parts, the EGR valve and the vacuum controler changed a coupla oh vacuum hoses and cleaned the vaacuup ports in the intake, about 280.00 for the parts, it was in my daughters truck in texas so she needed smog pass, in Montana I would just do the ERG delate, you still have the cats for clean air anyway.
