here is one for you guys..
If I hit the accelerator hard from a dead stop I get this noise coming from the passenger side (sounds like under the glove box.) It sounds like a baseball rolling and hitting against the inside plastic, or like a flap or something opening/closing (if that makes any scense whatsoever) just a "thud". Now today the inside of my windows kept fogging up (as if the outside air wasn't coming in) yet the light indication on the dash was illuminated for outside air. If I select outside air or recirculate there was no change in air output on high (you can always hear the difference between the two. I took out and re-installed the in cabin air filter as per the manual. At this time I can now here and feel the difference in air flow. Thinking I fixed it, smashed the accelerator and the thud came back but as of now no change in air flow.... I'm stumped any one have this issue or shed some light? Outside air/ recirculate flat not operating properly??

I too had this occur a few days ago on a cold morning. It almost sounded like a 5 CD changing head moving around, trying to play a CD...and in that general vicinity. Hopefully someone will chime in. I was going to post but mine has since stopped.

*NOT EXPERT OPINION* Sounds like the internal air filter is cycling. It is located in the glove box on the left of the top shelf. You can easily take the door off with two depression clips at the top.

That sounds like haggis' problem. Mine isn't what he is describing.

Sinister, of the three lights for air circ. are you having nothing but inside air on all three: internal, auto (illuminates both auto and external), external?
If I chose inside air the light would go on, if I chose outside air the light would go on for that, never tried the auto option. Im thinking it was just the inside air was always coming through because there was no change in sound or air output (I'm guessing that's why my windows kept fogging up) but it seems to have been fixed after I removed the filter and reinstalled it. It was drawing air just from the inside even though the outside light was illuminated. I'm still getting that thump though which is really pissing me off (and it doesn't happen all the time) which is setting me up for the dealer "could not replicate nonsense

Update and need help here..
So if I choose recirculating air and stop the car, hit the accelerator no sound.
Choose outside air, stop the car, hit the accelerator again and it sounds like a vent or plastic door closes (does this everytime ONCE and not again unless I choose recirculate and back to outside air) Keeping it on outside air, stop the truck hit the accelerator, no sound. Soooo I'm thinking its a vent or something behind the dash (lower portion on passenger side) that closes the outside air vent upon acceleration. ANY IDEAS HERE WOULD BE APPRECIATED PLEASE......
