I was driving back from picking up dinner around 7 pm when a deer jumped infront of the truck. I was traveling about 45 mph and just as I went over a hill, the deer jumped onto the road. I hit the brake hard and probably slowed to a good 10-20 mph but still hit the deer with the right front end. I did not pull over as I did not want to create a roadblock and get hit from behind (just over a hill with poor visibility). I did return to the site to assess the state of the deer but it was gone. I did sustain a minor damage and will need some bodywork.
I am thinking about taking this opportunity to change out the front fender. Any suggestions?
Be safe out there. Its deer season in the midwest and they are very active during dawn and dusk.
