Also, is there a place to mount the flag they sell at Badlands to my FJ or do I need to buy something additional? Or do they sell everything there?

Robert

Robert,

Badlands sells the flag only. They do not sell brackets to mount the flag, but it does come mounted in a threaded bolt. I've seen photos of FJ's with the "Football Team" style window mounts where they have changed out the flags. Personally, I don't like this option because I think the flag is too low. Option two is what I did for the first year, and that is to crack the window and let the stock Badlands flag hang out. Not very sophisticated but it worked.

Option three is what I did this last year. I purchaed the CB Antennae Mount Kit from Fourtreks. I asked Outback Offroad Gear to modify a Badlands Flag to 36". I then purchased a Firestick CB quick release and spring from Walcott CB. Mounted them all together on my roof rack. Presto, I have a flag that comes off quick for travel, height above the rig that I liked, and the spring allows it to flex when running through the woods. I realize that is an expensive option for a flag, but it worked best for my needs.

Good luck.

Nice looking setup Woody!

I'm out. Wrecked my back over the holiday and it ain't gonna get better by the weekend. Have fun, be safe, and take lots of pictures.

AJ, just send Heidi with one of the rigs, and Mike with the other one. Then we can have a lesson on how to "DRIVE IT LIKE IT'S AJ'S". Just like last time we will take pictures to show you what you missed.

I'll be there with the other step-son. Top parking lot about 10.

Got my Aussie locker installed in the rear diff last night, rusted brake lines are gone, got my rear SROR bumper today. Now I can slide in those deep ruts and not worry as much about my 1/4 panels. A little grinding and cutting to get the new bumper on and I'll be good to go by 6 bells Saturday morning.
No overnight for me. One looonng day w/ my oldest daughter as my co-pilot!!

It is with great regret and sadness that I have to tell everyone that I will not be able to attend the event. With a test in Organic on Monday, my kids wanting to do different stuff for their birthday tomorrow, and on top of that I'm behind on homework. Something had to give. So I'm "doing the right thing" and not going to Badlands. :( I will work hard to be at the next event.

Have fun and post lots of pictures. Sniff...sniff...

I will be there around 9:00 os so. Still no locker, but I got steering!!!!. YOO HOO.

This Sucks!

Hey all, sorry I was not able to make it, I have been sick for the last week or so. On Friday, everything kinda erupted into bronchitis and I decided to just rest. :frown: I want to be 100% on the trails so as not to make any stupid mistake. I will see you in the future at another event hopefully.

Had a great time at the TFT event..Even came home with some damage...Thank you Clint for your expertise and leading the way! And thank you Hoosier Cruisers for your hospitality! Great group of people!!!! I think next time I'll bring the 40!

Brian

Thanks to all the Hoosier Cruisers for a great time!! You were all a great bunch to wheel with!! I'm definitely coming back for more abuse but with better tires to make that climb!

You guys rock!

I doubt Brian will bring his 40. It sits in a climate controlled environment covered in anti-static wrap to keep the dust off. If you're lucky he'll maybe bring you a picture! lol

It was great to see so many new faces, I never did get a total count but Jered and I met people from five states, and two other countrys. I also got Jered behind the wheel for some of the fun.

Well I had a damaged drivers CV from the trip. Also exaust and passenger rocker panel cover damage. Dealer fixed CV under warranty. Can't wait for the next trip!

I had a blast as usual. My new steering rocked! Met some great new people. Enjoyed seeing the old friends. I will be doing a U-Bolt flip and some new bump stops before the next outing. Body damage for me this trip was minimal, just more dings in the bed. Great to see so many FJC's. Tony.
