Hello,

The windshield wiper motor on my '88 Land Cruiser isn't working. I checked the fuse and is O.K.
Is there a way to check to see if the motor is dead for sure? Or a way to revive it?

Thanks.

hi,
check my post on page 2(wiper arm linkage fix)! i've disconnected from the linkage to try my motor. a little tricky to pop it back in position. i've removed my motor cover to check inside and was a little PIA to hold onto the brushes to reassemble(think twice before removing). if the motor is fine, try moving the wipers by hand to make sure the linkage isn't seized.
hth,

If needed......... I have good motor PM me

Ya, taking the cover off the motor is a real adventure, did that on a very cold night last winter because the wipers suddenly stopped working in a blizzard. No fun at all putting the brushes back in.

Everthing checked out fine on mine, fuse was good, power to the motor. Finally pulled the motor assembly off the firewall and discovered the linkage had come loose.
