After my water leak issues being resolved the cluster has been fried (no water damage) or at least rendered useless with only the warning lights working, but no gauges so I have a couple of questions. Has anyone had theirs repaired (2004 LX470) or used a digital dash setup using direct OBD2 connection or Canbus connection? These issues apart from the water leak (a rust hole I didn't seal well enough) aren't a Toyota failure I traced it to the nut holding the steering.....ME neglecting to remove the main connector into the left footwell board. Would the negatively switched Toyota be an issue with these aftermarket options?
I am fortunate to have a proactive auto electrician happy to solve the problem but for the most part the auto trades are getting lazier or dumber and won't touch anything that requires a brain to be used and not just a laptop.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
