I get up at 3:00am to go to work. One of my dogs, (the girl), always gets up with me so she can go out back.

Today she got sprayed by a skunk, I am guessing in the face and mouth cause' she was foaming at the mouth and rolling her face on the ground.

My wife smells it and gets up, she is off for the summer so she got to clean the girl while I was off to work.

So I am sitting here at work reeking, must have some on my clothes. Think I may have to split when some others get in and smell me.

I dont know if you already know this or not, but if you mix baking soda, peroxide and dish soap in a 40/50/10 solution by volume it will help remove the oils and smell from her coat and skin. Also it works a lot better than the tomato juice thing. Just put it on like you were giving her a bath and let it sit for about 10 minutes and rinse her off. If the smell is still there, just repeat. It really works well on my lab mix.

Back in middle school, my buddy managed to get sprayed by a skunk while waiting for the school bus. He got on the bus, came in to home room, and got sent home due to the smell. I think he blamed it on his dog.

Yes...Did a quick Google this AM. That is what the wife used, she says it is OK now, (the smell).

Maybe my boss will send me home...

I know there are lots of remedies... but I had good luck with lemon gojo and other stuff you would use for cleaning off after working on a vehicle covered in grease/oil... Had my dogs get sprayed 2x one summer. Afaik the spray is oil like, so water based stuff doesn't work.....
