I have a reliable 7 1/4" Skillsaw. Is there a blade that can be put on it to cut concrete? Don't have to get too deep, just enough to let me break out an edge. Thanks for any advice.

you can get diamond blades for cutting concrete just don't forget to wear a mask when cutting the concrete, dust contains silica may also want to spray water on the blade when your cutting to keep the dust down

Search Results for diamond blade

Cal/Osha has implemented new regs on concrete cutting due to the silica. No longer can you dry cut. Everything has to be vacummed or it must be wet.

Of course for home projects it's irrellevent. Just wear a good dust mask and some eye protection & your fine.

X....whatever on renting the concrete saw. Cheap and easy, it's the only way to go

I have cut concrete with my 7 1/4 skillsaw with the diamond wheel and an abrasive wheel works ok. go with the abrasive wheel if you are not cutting much (diamond wheels are pricey). If you do use the abrasive wheel buy more than one the go quick but they are cheap.

If you have alot to cut rent a disaster saw with a diamond wheel. the disaster saw wont make the prittiest cuts and is a bear to hold onto but its fast, cheap to rent and gets the job done.

If you want nice cuts rent a walkbehind.
