I had a minor accident the other day and got my passenger side of the truck sideswiped. I'm thinking about having a custom paint job done because you can usually tell when only certain parts have been painted. Anyone have any pics of their custom paint jobs? By the way, the Fabfours bumper took a good hit and didn't sustain any damage. That thing is bomb proof.

Painted it Dune Beige.....

Wow! That looks awesome! Can you give me a ball park figure on what a full paint job of that quality will cost?

Yeah it looks killer. Did you do the insides of the doors etc to make it look factory? I mean, like the jambs....

I'd like to see some wood trim inside myself. My other two vehicles have it and I sure wouldn't mind it in the new Toy.

Nice... Really nice rig!...

I really like the white front grill too. Nice throwback to the landcruisers. I wonder how a military green or something like that would look. Or maybe like a deep forest green. I dig green.

If you don't do any of the work yourself (tear down and assembly) you are looking at $5-6K to do it right.

What paint code it that? Looks Great.
Is that the FJ40 Dune Beige or the new FJ cruisr beige?

It is painted with Dune Beige (Factory #T-416, PPG #23754), used on 1975-79 FJ40's.

All jambs are painted, the only thing not painted is the engine compartment, but since it was black originally, it looks fine. It looks factory, well even better because the 3 coats of enamel color and the 2 coats or clear enamel doesn't chip like factory paint does.

Wood trim?

Thanks you everyone for the kind words....it was a labor of love.

I'm not sure about the wood trim deal personally, but if you like that look there are already wood trim dash kits for the FJ. Just look around, you'll find 'em.

I lOVE the beige! Great choice! It'd be RAD if Toyota made it a factory color!
