Hey MUD,
I wanted the iconic TX-1 Outback wheels on my FJ62 more than anything—but since Outback's long out of business and clean sets are basically unicorns, I had a small batch custom forged to match that same look and spirit. These wheels are not cast or replica imports—they’re forged aluminum, designed from the ground up with the right specs for 60, 70, 80 series rigs (and others running 6x139.7). Just a handful of sets made.
Specs:
- Size: 17x8.5
- Offset: -23
- Bolt Pattern: 6x139.7
- Center Bore: 106.1 mm
- Material: Forged Aluminum
- Finish: Matte silver (raw aluminum look)
- Condition: Brand new, never mounted (photos show them on my personal 62—not the set for sale)
Here’s the video of Jack Carr’s FJ62 where this wheel design really made its mark:

Price: $2,500 OBO

I know this is niche, but if you're restoring or building something period-correct (or just want a set that stands out from the sea of Methods), this is probably your only chance to snag a set like this without waiting months—or paying $4K+ to have a one-off set made.Feel free to PM me with questions. Only a few sets left.
