Not sure if this is the right section to post this but I have a curt triflex brake control device installed on the 2005 Dodge Durango limited I just bought. I have a short in my lights and am wondering if that could not be the culprit since I have found a few issues with the way the previous owner installed things and I know he installed this device...
I don't know anything about electrical and I am wondering what the process would be to uninstall this device since I will never use it anyway and to sort of begin the process of elimination in finding the issue.
Also if anyone had any advice on the process of elimination, I'd appreciate any insight. All I know is my rear driver side blinker doesn't work all the time, but my brake light on that side works, no passenger side brake light, no brake lights above my back window, and I have red and black wires that run to the passenger side brake light housing that dont connect to anything and have no power. And two dead fuse slots in the kick panel.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
