I had kinda the opposite situation once- Built a Cummins 80 series for a fellow and his wife fell in love with it. He took it hunting and spilled some guts in the back- Wife was ready to kill him! So 3 months after the first one I'm building a second 12 valve powered 80. His and hers. They still love them, been about 10 years.

Dude is likely just trying to recoup all that he's put into it. I can speak from experience that it's real easy to have a 100k 80 and mine surely doesn't look that good! If he paid labor to have work done, it'll add up quick.

That said, one should never 'invest' in things with engines. They're a depreciating asset. I foolishly sink money into my vehicles purely for my own enjoyment...kids college funds be damned!

It's one of the cleanest 80s for sale and is really well sorted. Might not be worth $100k to you, but it could be for the right person. If the market won't bear the cost he'll have to reduce his asking. If you want to have a laugh, just look around at all the 0 post dealers on here or the people trying to chuck garbage at Bring a Trailer and ripping people off. Fitzy isn't on that list. I have a small fortune in my 80 and it looks like something ISIS wouldn't drive, so spending $100k on an 80 could be a smart investment.....

Does anyone have a picture of this angle or is someone willing to take a picture of this angle? Im looking into making a custom low pressure line for th ac system I would like to see how much room is in this area to go around the turbo system then to the compressor.
Thanks
Tommy

Guys we’ve been into this with the turbos for 4 years now. It’s not an issue and the design is not changing. Use the extra heat shield armor that isn’t used and wrap the AC. Zero lines have been melted to date to my knowledge
