does anyone know a good mechanic in the seattle area that knows the cruisers and or the diesel cruisers. my 86 hj-60 is starting to crap in multiple areas at once. thanks jeff

I share your pain, at 300k my JDM HJ61 is starting to 'crap in several areas' as well. Having said that, I don't know any of in the seatlle area, but if you are willing to drive a bit,Rob at LCI in vancouver seems to have a pretty good rep.

What is your cruiser doing?

I was curios as to what your land cruiser may be doing? What do you mean by crapping? As in oil leaks?

I'm in the process of swapping a 3B into an 84 FJ60 and found a set of seals and gaskets online... I imagine if you're willing to pull the engine and change out seals, etc, you should be fine. I'll be in the garage swapping the engine/drivetrain this weekend. I'd love tot check out your rig... mrhodes0@comcast.net (I'm in north Seattle)

Gregs Japanese Auto has a diesel man in the Seattle store. You MIGHT be able to talk him into working on it for you. That is the trouble with these trucks isnt it. Nobody around here (the US) knows a damn thing about them.
