Cruise control troubleshooting (1 Viewer)

I have a 97 V6 X-tra cab Taco and my cruise works sometimes, but most of the time it doesnt. Anybody know how to troubleshoot this thing as I would like to be able to use it. All I have checked so far is the fuse and the linkage to the throttle body.

Dunno for sure because I don't have CC on my t100, but you could try cleaning the interior contacts like we do with the 80 series....


All it requires is that you be able to access the actuator arm. You will probly have to remove a cover, but when you can access the arm, cycle it from stop to stop several times and that should do it.

That being said, I reiterate that I have no clue if this works on truck CC units..
