Crozet trip?

I remember dwight mentioning a trip to crozet in a couple weeks at GSMTR, is that coming up soon? Im kinda in limbo with work right now waiting on getting scheduled in so if i could find out the date i can try and get that day off.

I think he was talking about this Sat. I hope he will see this and chime in. I drove the 40 yesterday, only to find out it has a loud bearing noise in the t-case. It looks like I will be tearing that apart this week/weekend to find out what is going on.

Matt, Bubba was working on the crozet trip I think it is the 16th but don't quote me on that I will try and find out something today last time I talked to him It was still up in the air.

If anyone is interested the only day available for Crozet is the june 23rd it is a open wheeling weekend though the owner said he had 16 truck for the last open day. If anyone is interested in going Bubba and I should be there he also has some other friends interested in going so it should be a fun trip.

The EC4RJ is June 22 - 24. is also that week end at raush . We might want to talk about this at the upcoming meeting and get a head count .

I thought about that also. I can not make Coal miners in July. I was supposed to be out of town the last two weeks of June but it got pushed back a week, so now I have the 23rd open. I do not know if Caroline is going to let me go away for 3 weekends in a row.

How many people want to go to Rausch creek? If I went it would be late Friday and wheel Sat and Sun.

matt if you are still going this weekend norm and I will be meeting at mc donalds on 301 6:10 am sat or you can meet us at the auto parts store at the gum springs exit of 64 at 6:45- 7:00am when we meet up with Bubba and some other guys.

I got work on saturday, i might try and swap shifts but im new so i think ill just stick it out since i didnt ask ahead of time.

I would like to get out with the motor running right though, i cleared the codes after fixing a thing or two and its running better than it has for a long time. I think it actually likes that conjoined exhaust setup. Of course the tranny mount is still broken......

Hey guys, it looks like I am out. The weather looks good at Nags Head so it looks like I will be wheeling the GMC on the beach instead.
On a brighter note I drove the 40 some more last night with the new rear disc brakes, man I need to order a proportioning valve today, the rear end locks up way to easily. It is getting a lot closer.

you missed an awesome trip. For me anyways....

Bubba twisted a rear drive shaft, and Dwight's electric cooling fan spun into the radiator, causing a leak. Those guys were heading home after lunch.

I don't think John or I broke anything (knocks on wood)

I was even home to spend some time with Riley.....


Hope the beach was fun this weekend.....

When i left work for lunch today i was like damn, i shoulda gone wheelin. It was beautiful today.

Back at camp after rolling. Still drove it the rest of the day Saturday. Until I broke the wrap bar mount off the axle. Damage tallly: Hood, driver apron, BJ70 lights.Driver Cowl is pretty tweaked too. I didn't get any action shots, too busy driving, spotting and recovering. It was a good time though.

MetalTech Cage and fenders minimized alot of damage.

we all had a great time. That`s correct I did not break anything either. I dont think anyone of us had a camera on this trip. we wheeled blacks and low reds all day and had a blast.
