Well I finally found a free wifi connection but it isn't great so the commentary will continue to be short and of course it is the pics that everyone is lusting for :)

These Iveco Massifs are very Land Rover Defender-ish and if these can come into the USA with the Fiat/Chrysler merger then things aren't so bad after all. I don't know anything about how they perform off road but folks seemed to be pretty interested in the displays.

Lots of 80 series with the back chopped off and new camping setups fabbed on. The interiors ranged from bare to fully kitted out. But again I noticed things were setup for 2 people.

Washing machine, yep this is a smaller sized washing machine that was built into one of the larger trucks.

Like I had mentioned earlier there was this H3 setup for folks to take them on test drives. This and the Land Rover test ground were very popular, lines of people every time I went by.

This little Mitsu was wickedly built and lots of people were checking it out. I saw a few of these but this one really topped the list for big tires on a smaller rig.

Oh and for anyone who thinks that the bling builds are mainly a USA thing, This rig was part of the Land Rover factory display. I can't truthfully say that folks were digging it but it did get a few looks.

I grabbed literature on this company but I will have to wait till I get home to tell you more (mailed all the brochures home rather than drag all the wgt around). The build quality seemed decent and I liked the hard shell cover. But really what caught my eye was that all the tents were mounted on sedans to show people they could travel in something other than a mega machine.

Another of the Iveco Massifs but a truck setup. Diesel of course, just another rig we can't have with a setup we all want.

I will dig thru the rest of the pics and info once I am at home but that was the highlights of the event and I would say to anyone that has a chance to attend next year that it is well worth a few days at the event and checking out the campsites.

Who makes these?

This thing was just cool...and they are making them for a variety of rigs as a bolt on application. You just order your truck without a bed and they ship you this setup.

When I have a better net connection I will upload more pics and tell more fun stories about the stuff I saw.

There are a couple of makers that make them for the US market. They are used in the large RVs. Some are separate washing machine and dryers, others are all in one wash to dry. Case sizes around 24"wide, 23"D, and 33"H can be found. I remember one unit being only 18/19" deep, but can't find it. Drying on the ventless units sucks from what I understand. Also with the small dryer heating elements they have they take forever to dry stuff. Using a wash to dry I figured on doing one load a day. Start it, and go off and explore while it runs.

Lists a few:
Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers
Yes, small dishwashers too.

When I get back home in a week or so I will look at all the brochures and post up info on the winged/storage/bed replacement and other cool stuff.
I shipped home all the catalogs & brochures rather than backpack them around for 3 more weeks :)

Thanks for sharing! These are great...

Lovely pics! Please keep them coming :)

This has got to be the ugliest, stupidst, most impractical, pos that I have seen. Does anybody out there really like this crap? I love Land Rovers just like my Land Cruiser but this one would cost me $$$ to undo all this crap before I would be seen in it. I would love to take a sledgehammer to those rims.:flipoff2:

I have been wanting to build a 80 camper kinda like this. Anybody have one of these in the states?

Trans-World III, and looking at it up close I believed them, this rig looked like it had traveled quite a bit, but no owner to chat with.

Too bad the photos are gone. I think I spotted the same rig near Comarapa, Bolivia, 2 days ago. I was in a hurry, so I only stopped long enough to snap this:

I was doing a search online to find out more info about it and it does appear to have been at Abenteuer & Allrad in the past.
