The wait (which is not long anyways) for parts is always worth it! Knock at the door while having the morning coffee today presented more OEM Toyota goodies via Onur!
The Toyota wrench in particular is awesome! You rock Onur!

Nice set up Chase.

The stickers are really growing on me.

Thanks @BMThiker

I'll be emailing you another long this week Onur. Thank you for all it takes to get us those parts man. I like those stickers too.

Had a great evening with @BirdManzFJ in Covington as he was coming through to pick up his tow rig.

Fun times indeed. Great to spend time with clients. Makes this all worth while in the end.

 Martin. See ya soon and drive home safely.

Awesome night, and for some weird reason, I dreamed of tequila shots.
Be good to yourself my friend.

Hey Onur,

I emailed 3 weeks ago or so and again last week I believe. I was just checking to see if my emails may have been going to spam. grayflyinghranch@yahoo.com. Holler when you have time. Thanks!

I'll take a look and see if it mistakingly went into my junk folder.

I have pretty strong spam parameters due to the volume of email I get.

Apologies if that was the case.

Onur, just a thought after seeing the store room; Have you considered making a parts catalog and making them available? Online and or paper I would pay to subscribe.

I've considered many, many different things. That said, having an online store is not one of them; having more expenses in a one man operation is also not one of them. So currently, those suggestions are not remotely on the table unfortunately.

Small strides in the daily life of a tiny, one-man business.

Small incremental investments in inventory.

My bedroom probably has more Toyota Land Cruiser parts in it than 99.9% of Toyota dealerships in the US.

I guess I need more shelves....

I bet if you raised the blinds, there would be at least 3 cruiserheads with their noses pressed against the window.

Thanks again, Onur.

I feel ya brother, I just added MORE shelves to the T-T shop... I guess that means we are doing something right!

Keep it up!

J

Not necessarily that I am doing something right, it's more that 99.9% of people expect Lexus service and Wal Mart prices. As such, for me to survive and put food on my table, I am going to have to accommodate that mentality in some ways. Having fast moving parts is one way to do that.

Nice Jesse. Not the first time I have come home and found a random Cruiserhead in my drive way waiting for me.

;)

So while the good denizens of MUD are sleeping, Beno is spending time at 4am thinking about organizational logic.

Awesome.

Luckily, the local brewery is supporting this endeavor:

As such, I did go and buy more shelves today. Thanks Visa!

It's nice knowing I have some of the last actual part numbers made by Toyota...

Then I think about how awesome 96112-10250 hose clamps are... Both in their simplicity and in the durability... Just a simple, quality design. These clamps have been used for almost 50 years by Toyota.

The part number has been used since at least 1969. Ergo, supplier has never changed. Supplier changes are generally (or more specifically, historically) indicated by a change in the suffix five digits of a 10 digit part number.

As Toyota has globalized, its parts logical system has permutated and introduced things like a tertiary dual digit part number introduced at the end of a ten digit part number to indicate color, trim, manufacture state (i.e.: remanufactured, local production, and sub-supplier beyond the first order keiretsu companies that have historically supplied Toyota manufacturing operations).

Then there are obviously changes in the first five digit prefix system: generally indicative of functional system.

Even those have changed considerably with the introduction of new technological systems as well as new partner cooperations: for example, most all FR-S/86 part numbers begin with SUXXX-XXXXX indicating the Subaru/Fuji Heavy Industries lineage of the design and manufacture.

All of that information from just a simple ten digit number.
