just an fyi woody. this site is becoming nearly unusable for me, especially at home. it does not matter what browser i use.

1. the site is slow.

2. pages just will not load. constantly.

3. i have given up trying to load this site from a quick google search because it hardly ever works. you have to use a bookmark or type in the browser manually.

4. both firefox and safari constantly give me white screen cannot find the server error messages, especially when logging on. i often have to restart the browser because they give up trying to load.

this has been going on periodically for months.

it has become obvious the last few days, as tut transitioned out of mud so i am visiting mud less often, that i can use the rest of the internet just fine and have been putting up with some major problems with mud. i don't know if it is advertisers, or your canadian proxy servers or what exactly but i am not getting this issue with other websites or other forums.

Gota be something on the CA side of things then, since I haven't noted an issues with speed. I'll forward this page to my sysadmin and see if there is anything he can track.

I was living off cell tethering and hotel wifi for most of November, and even in MX a couple weeks back I didn't notice any problems.

i will post these when i remember.

That means the issue is NOT with the site, but with the server/connection...I've forwarded this thread to my sysadmin and he'll do what he can.

Everything is hosted by Softlayer out of Dallas...have you ever pissed off anyone in TX? lol

interesting.

i haven't messed with texas recently

I would like to add to this, the site is also slow for me. So this morning I did a test, Mud page 20 sec to appear after pushing the page button ( for lack of a better term). I have not used Pirate 4x4much but am a member so I did same test, 5 sec. This is with satillite internet at home. 20 sec for some reason seams like eternity.

@kjohnson, <7 seconds for me, on a 20mbps cable connection (with a full ad load too). PBB was <5 sec.

@semlin, ran some traceroutes to your IP address from Softlayer and had off and on issues...somewhere between you/the server there is an problem, depending on the internet route taken. Suggest you do the same both when working AND not working, and email the results. Run enough of them and there should be a common problem that stops the connection. We can then gather that information and forward it to Softlayer. You can also forward it to your ISP and hopefully one of the two will get through to the bottleneck and find the solution.
