completed KZJ71 project.....SOLD !!!

finally my SWB had ended up just the way i had always dreamt it to be....

Lifts, snorkel, lockers and the works....

But then the global recession screwed me up.... needed the cash so had to part wit the best vehicle i have ever owned....

have a HDJ81 as well but the ride is not even close...

enjoy the final pics of my project.........

just to give a rough idea of how high it stood...m 18ocm tall...

BTW.... the snorkel is a Safari item for 80series....... fitted in without any major hassles....

The shortys are soo much fun , With the snorkel did the air box pipe inside the guard line up perfect with the snorkel pipe , (no angles) .
Looking to do the same with my KZJ78 just didnt know which snorkel came close.

Cambelt: Safari makes snorkels specifically for the 70 series, no need to adapt anything.

yup shorty's are real fun..... quite nippy in the farm even......

Cambelt : there was a slight angle but i used a silicon intercooler hose with clamp on both sides...... plus the the diff-breathers routed up.... took the shorty for a wade n luckly no water came into the air-box....

JAC83 : yeh buddy too bad its gone... miss the instant on the tap power of the 1KZ, had the turbo boost sensor changed and the ecu tweaked alittle.... can u imagine hw this shorty ws haulin... FAST... in fact bloody fat......

I can relate, mine is rocking a 1FZ-FE motor .

yeh mate the 1FZ is pretty quick as wel..... :d

saw the cruiser today... the new owner has put on a good set of fog lights on the bullbar and has fitted in a roof-rack as well.....

Looks pretty awsome.....

JAC83 i dont think safari make one for the light duty LC II , i have searched it in melb here and couldnt find one. Our local bundera seems the same as the LC II but bundys are too old now for safari to reproduce them.
