Colour : red, brick, or what else ?

I just saw a few pics of the new Trails Team Special Edition 2012
hmmmm, a beauty.

What's the name of that colour ?
If I remember brick was a darker red colour like this one: A colour between darkred and "plumcolour"

and the new ones are much more brighter

I think I also saw that "new" colour on 2011 modells from a japanese site

There have actually been two "redish" colored FJ's thus far. In 2007 you could pick up a Black Cherry FJ or you could get a Brick FJ from 2008 through 2011. From what I hear, the new color red (don't know the technical name, to me it's red) is actually an older Toyota color. Like from, say, 10 years ago, or whenever, so it's definitely new to the FJ Cruiser, but not new to Toyota. I'm kind of digging it. But then again, I have owned a few bright red vehicles in my time.

The one you pictured above the new red appears to be black cherry. The red brick was a bit closer to the new red color.

New red is called Radian Red iirc.

I was just quoting the article which called it Radian.

Radiant Red was used on their trucks several years ago - not sure if they are bringing it back out of nostalgia or if they are actually changing the name to Radian.

Doing a quick google search, it looks like half the articles are calling it "Radiant Red" and the other half "Radian Red". The only thing I see from Toyota is about the Radiant Red Tundra from about 2007 on. So I would guess Radiant will probably end up being correct color name.
