This is my first winter with the gx460. 2018 with 54k mi. Lexus maintained, no real issues that I’m aware of mechanically.
So on early mornings when I’m going to work twice now I’ve experienced an odd startup or engine sound.
The first day when I was accelerating out of the neighborhood there was a wheeze like rhythmic sound. It was probably in the high 30’s F. I had done some dirt roading and very mild off road the day before and wrote it off that maybe it was a stick in the undercarriage.
Second time was actually after a moderate temp night with heavy rain and it just was a little different at initial startup with a slight vibration and sounded almost like it didn’t want to start but did. This morning was one of the cooler mornings at 30f and no issues were noted.
I’m definitely sensitive to these things but did note some differences in the last few weeks as we start into our mild winter season.
Any information or comments appreciated. And yes I try to let my car warm up but I’m chronically running late so I can’t always do that.
