anyone know of online closet retailer?

i'm trying to build a reach-in type closet but all the places online, easycloset, etc, only do 12" deep, where i need to do 23-24" deep and i also need to have doors on the closet front.

plus, these sites sell the particle board covered with melamine which i am not a fan of.

ive tried california closets and closet factory, but they want upwards of $3k for a 9ft wide, 10ft high closet.

I think you're going to be hard pressed to find any real solid wood from a discount closet supply place. You could apply your own veneer over the white melamine stuff.

You might also check IKEA. I'm not sure how much they sell online, but they have a lot of closet organization stuff. Not great quality, but not terrible. I have a set of their steel kitchen shelves in my entry way closet and have been happy with the durability. I use them for shoe racks. I think they are about 18" deep.

The standard among this industry is particle board core melamine. If you want veneer core plywood with matching wood doors you are probably looking at custom. The material cost alone for this option is probably 2 1/2-3 times the melamine version and then there is additional sanding and finishing labor. I would guess the total cost when all said and done will be 2 1/2-3 times higher.

Just search "custom closets" on Google and you may find other options with the depth you want.

Yes, I am a custom woodworker by trade.
