My driver side temp is stuck at 66 degrees. Passenger side and rear will change but the physical buttons on driver side not doing anything (worked earlier today). Any tricks or tips to get the temp to change?

I would try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 min to see if the system resets.

I was thinking the nav system that has the climate controls. 2008-2011 units are cheap. 2013-2015 not so much...

Could be as simple as bad button activation (bad physical button).

Important note:
Any tune passenger up/down temp buttons are pressed, the system goes back to 4-zone. At that pont, you have to deactivate 4-zone on the screen.

Under normal operation...using the driver’s up/down button with adjust all 4 zones when 4-Zone is turned off via the screen...but again...as soon as any passenger up/down is pressed...4-zone turns back on.

The fact that it went back to the default of 75 degrees (always does that after a battery disconnect) and the lack of response tells me it is most likely the bottom itself, or the plug that connects the driver button to the system behind the dash.

I sincerely doubt it is the larger system.

Try this:
1-Disconnect battery again (so it defaults to 75 again)
2-*DONOT tounch any up/down buttons.
3-Hit climate button
4-On climate screen, deactivate 4-zone by pressing it (highlighted color goes away)

You should now be set at 75.

Now...try pressing driver up/down.
If no change? Bad button or button connector likely.

Assuming it doesn’t change via the driver’s up/down (and let you turn off 4-zone from the screen)...now hit any the passenger’s up/or down button.
Now look at the climate screen. Normally this pressing would reactivate 4-Zone.

If 4-Zone failed to deactivate even without ever touching a passenger up/down...then maybe a wider system issue.

So the first time the passenger up down worked but not driver. Resetting battery took all temps to 75 but the driver side still would not change. The 4 zone button won't turn off (stays green) on the touch screen. After a while, the system just started working again. The second time, it only happened for about 10 minutes, and was being finicky (worked for a couple up downs but then froze). Using my Carista (which puts the touchscreen in service mode) I reset the nav and it all worked fine. I've not cleaned the CD so we will see.

I'm thinking:
1) Loose harness (or bad harness)
2) Bad Nav DVD (or bad Nav DVD reader which would be no bueno as it is a discontinued part)
3) Bad Nav System (like a $8900 part-which is why I may trade in a truck I otherwise love). I may try one of the aftermarket units if I keep having trouble.

Bummer. If the screen “button” refuses to deactivate even while making sure a passenger button isn’t touch (which always reactivates it), then ya, that sounds like something deeper. :( Darn.

Like many folks here—I’d gladly trade my nav unit for a non-nav version since we could happily thrownumber of stereo/navy products in there. Then your clinate controls wouldn’t be mysteriously buried in the electronics. Hope yours isn’t!

The fancy android based replacements do look cool, but to me they would always feel like they’re just one glitch or update away from loss of all controls. Not worth it to me.

Keep us posted...

@40Man did you resolve this? I am experiencing these issues this morning.

I was headed home after visiting family 500+miles away in winter when this happened, and drove on a full tank in a very cold LC.

I stopped for gas, and when I turned on the car, all was fine. When I got home I hooked to Techstream and found no errors. I think I reset something using Techstream, but not sure if it was necessary as the problem went away. It was almost as if the button was stuck not letting any other input go through. It never happened again and I ended up upgrading to a 16 a year later (wasn't planning to upgrade, but the price was too good!).

Hope you have a similar "blip" where it stops happening!
