We had a very relaxing weekend up in Clayton. The weather was terrific all day Saturday. We took the K Trail to Busline, descended Busline and crossed over the creek to the south part (Black Fork & Cripple Creek trails). Got lost in there for a while, goofed of at the creek and then wheeled till we found a pretty awesome campsite on a ridge.
Everyone set up camp and relaxed and then after dinner we commenced to socializin'. It was a gorgeous night, and with all the campfires on the trail and a nice breeze, it couldn't have been better.
All in all, it was exactly what I had hoped for- a mellow, laid-back exploration trip. I hope everyone had as great a time as Barb & I did, and of course we are already looking forward to a November trip.
