Read through bits of @RUSH55 thread earlier. Ran across some good electrical stuff around page 135 (I think).

I’ve now got my tasks for tomorrow at work reading Fly by night from start to beginning and pick up some knowledge.
Good luck Jon!
@PabloCruise has been after me for several years now to sort that thread out and label where all the major stuff is, but of course I haven’t started on that yet. I figure once I get within the last couple thousand hours of time into I might sit down and sift through that monstrosity and sort it out.

If you could start that tonight if would help me greatly tomorrow!

I’ve read so much of it in bits and pieces I had good idea of things then with my newly acquired 3rd grade level electrical engineering I saw the fuse block and was hooked.

Buyer of the 76 body is going to send me his unmolested 69 harness. I intend on refurbishing and updating some relays and voltage regulators.

I haven’t heard back from @Coolerman about possibility of purchasing connectors or wires yet. Going to look at “Wirebarn” tomorrow see what they offer. Wytech required Minimum purchase of 500’ on coming wire and not planning on needing that much unless I get job doing that. If I go that route I’ve got bigger problems.

EFI Connection sells TXL wire by the foot in just about every color and size you would need***

Beyond that, for the common colors and sizes that you need more of, I bought rolls through Del City

***Cross link Wire Notes

SXL - thickest insulation
TXL - thin wall insulation
GXL - standard thickness insulation

Maybe you’d better wait a day…..

Actually….hit the “+” sign and it’s somewhat intuitive from that point on….somewhat…not simple

Clyde’s original F motor is sold. Figured I would have hard time but posted on wife’s FB and first guy ready to buy but gave verbal 2 nights prior to another seller in Colorado Springs. That seller not pleased about possibility of losing sell so my guy did right thing and stuck with his original verbal agreement. Hard not to respect that!

Second buyer lives 25 miles from first guy and 45 minutes north of us. They have all original 1967 40 his wife’s grandpa owned that its motor seized up.

Need to continue stripping Clyde’s original frame. Going to have sand blasted and powder coated for $600 in Tulsa. Good place I’ve used before for several cruiser parts.

When back from visiting daughter in Jackson Hole next week I hope to ramp this up.

Never thought I would think a snorkel would be helpful. Heavy 3” rain earlier today. As of 30 minutes ago Kim and I still couldn’t access the farm due to flooding of our two roads going to farm.
Sucks as I picked up dinner for parents over 3 hours ago.

Is that a creek at the far end or is this just this a ponding low spot? Looks like it's not moving in the forefront.
Both, we have multiple creeks converging in the vicinity that dump into the Muddy Boggy Creek a couple miles away. With heavy rains they back up and create the flooding. Every creek I came to within a 4-5 miles was flooded last night. Bridge we primarily use washed out. Found this early this morning heading to work.

Scratched the surface today exploring mountains around Jackson hole. My mind racing entire time that we should be driving Bonnie around up and here and Kimi on board.

Next trip I hope to take a pics of Bonnie next to this fire tower we drove to in UTV.

Which vehicle are you driving ?

Kelsey and Cade were on 4 wheeler, we were on Polaris ranger. Road definitely rough and narrow in spots but doable and Cade who grew here knows all the areas away from tourists.

I'll try to find my old notebook from like 2016 that I went down a rabbit hole and started finding all the old yazaki and sumitomo OG part numbers for connectors and terminals, but here's a couple sources for the old connectors I had bookmarked in Safari. I know my notes had a lot more of the 80s stuff that woulda been applicable to a late 40/60/62, but I explicitly remember thinking I better go ahead and find the older stuff, too, and realized a lot of the vintage Kawasaki/Yamaha had yazaki/sumi parts that were the exact same parts.

I use CorsaTecnic and Prowire usa for the newer stuff and tefzel mil-spec wire.

@WrongsideDaily youve gotta stop posting this stuff…Just cost me another $85. On one site…now going to the other.

Actually, we thank you…..great find!
