I’t has seen better days and wiring harnesses were not removed from each body due to time limitations. Hope to work backwards with what I have in Clyde. Take time to avoid creating failure points.

Looks like I have my day tomorrow at work planned. Unless they have me see a patient!

Coolerman does Great job, our 40 harness was rebuilt by him years ago.

@greenbeast this is is my Dante’s inferno. One of the hobbies I’ve had for 45 years now is amateur radio. Been a thing since I was 10 or so and got my advanced class license in 1981…built equipment years ago with some great results BUT STILL…!!! whenever I look at schematics and wiring, my blood runs cold. I hate doing it but love having done it. Don’t let me influence your decisions 😅. Good luck. I’ll admit it’s a great feeling when you’re finished. @Coolerman is a great source 🤞

Were those words of encouragement Al?

Absolutely!… 🙄

Have to say lots of good info here. Been studying this in detail ever since getting to work a couple hours ago. Trying to come up with some structure to how to address this.

1) I’ve identified wire colors coming from key components. Hope to identify the lights/horn and knock out easy stuff. Reached out to @Coolerman email on website but email got kicked back. Also sent PM so bet he gets back with me in near future.

2) listing different connector types to order to stay consistent with Toyota methods. Hope I can purchase the wires and connectors that match from Coolerman.

3) tracking all lines to and from the fuse box and all the kickers each have.

Need to update certain regulators and relays.

This is tough on the eyes for sure especially with bifocals. However once you stare at it and trace things multiple times you start getting sense of what and where things go.

Good learning experience!

Work continues then start list of needed items.

All those ohms and amps and volts trapped in copper and plastic prisons leave me confused. And my buddy who did the heavy lifting building Bonnie is color blind! Made for interesting sessions with me telling him colors and him taking it from there. I think it mostly worked out. Hope so for Jon’s sake.

When I checked in With Steve this week he mentioned they were repairing some wires but unsure exactly what?

Clyde needs some mods and I’m open for suggestions and guidance.

Looking now after work. Engine too far back with Clyde’s body on the 76 chassis. Rear valve cover almost touching firewall.

No way Brake booster will fit nor will the steering linkage.

Clyde is sitting a little lower in front than back so that may help bringing it up (won’t help much) but outside of that….

Clyde is the '69 body? Early firewalls were different, at least driver side. brake & clutch spaced slightly differently. Ideally, you would cut a driver side firewall out of a later Pig, weld it into the '69. I have had luck using an earlier intake and carb to clear the brake master, they have a lower "rise" and, IIRC, don't stick out so far. I might have one inch between head and firewall, I can get a finger back there...

Please, no incriminating pictures!

I truly didn’t realize the driverside firewall was different in earlier models. So it is the newer frame and position of the engine creating the problem?

Now I’m going to measure mounts of the 69 frame to the 76.
