@WrongsideDaily …you hit the nail on the head….this girl is an eating machine. I have two other dogs and if I reach out to them with a snack of any kind, she barges right thru and almost pull it from their mouth. At night she wags her tail as soon as she she’s the dish, she shakes her whole body at the site of anything …. Heaven forbid she hears a cellophane Bag crinkle.

Yesterday reminded me that I have several engine harnesses I need to get rolling on for some UZ swaps I've been putting off for too long which made me realize I totally forgot about Mouser! Another great one, especially if you're trying to update stuff. I bought reels of terminals and open barrel splices years ago to be able to build OEM level wiring harnesses. I love the open barrel splices and they come in a few sizes.

I will second Mouser, especially for their exhaustive variety of Amphenol (Deutsch) products. They carried all the PanelMate line of Amphenol bulkhead connectors I used on my engine fuse panel. Their website requires you to know the manufacturer’s part numbers for each piece, otherwise you will be scrolling for hours trying to find what you’re looking for. But they will surely have it, and will be shipped to you promptly, from Texas.

That's some nice work! Those are exactly what I'll be ordering for wiring bulkheads when I get to that point.

Someone with much better computer skills on these threads should create a Pig electrical thread with all these nuggets of good info. For all I know there probably already is something and I’ve read hundreds of pages to capture a few documented good things.

@J Mack and @RUSH55 have some good stuff in their threads. Several others also have some really good ways of doing things from replacing to refurbishing harnesses.

Mark (@Coolerman) did answer my email and he is a busy guy outside of mud with regular job so just appreciate him answering.

Mark takes some time to respond as I am finding. He will get back to you.

Oh he did, I’m sending list of what I need to refurbish the 69 and stock some extra connectors in future.

I’d like to keep harness as stock as possible and wires colors and close to stock as possible also.

With all kind of options out there I’m going to start with supporting Mark and what he carries.

Can’t recall if new pigs had the roughly 4x6 square rubber piece underneath the rear quarter panels? This would supposedly block debris from getting inside but during body swap lots of old dirt and debris present.

I’d like to spray some Corroseal inside the rear quarters and cover area the best I can? I’d also like to spray bottom of Clyde with it prior to putting a yet to be determined undercoating. I’ve seen “Evercoat” &”Lizard skin” amongst others. With our roads I need some protection for sure.

Bonnie one step closer. Going to exhaust shop next week. Air box almost finished. Little more brake work to install rear discs. New MC needs to be installed. Few other details but coming along.

It’s amazing how much of a PITA making an air filter box and piping for an LS in a 55 is.
This. IMO a cone filter looks unfinished in an engine bay and I refuse to use them if possible. Not knocking those who use them, just my preference.

Even if we could have used a cone filter in this instance there wouldn't have been a long enough straight run to keep the MAF happy. As I told Jon, we could have tuned around that, but that defeats the purpose of sticking to a stock LS3 swap, so a no go for me. In this case it's using a stock truck 6.2 air filter so available anywhere.

Also, I'd like to give credit to my friend Jonny @Cruisers and Co who developed the concept for this design and graciously gave it to me. I've modified it to suit my needs, but he came up with the original.

Never thought I would think a snorkel would be helpful. Heavy 3” rain earlier today. As of 30 minutes ago Kim and I still couldn’t access the farm due to flooding of our two roads going to farm.
Sucks as I picked up dinner for parents over 3 hours ago.

Were you guys in the 4Runner?
I recognize the color.

I'll try to find my old notebook from like 2016 that I went down a rabbit hole and started finding all the old yazaki and sumitomo OG part numbers for connectors and terminals, but here's a couple sources for the old connectors I had bookmarked in Safari. I know my notes had a lot more of the 80s stuff that woulda been applicable to a late 40/60/62, but I explicitly remember thinking I better go ahead and find the older stuff, too, and realized a lot of the vintage Kawasaki/Yamaha had yazaki/sumi parts that were the exact same parts.

I use CorsaTecnic and Prowire usa for the newer stuff and tefzel mil-spec wire.
cycleterminal is great!
