I will most likely go unless Toyota does a recall on all their vehicles to have an LS7 (the 70's version, not the "new" one) installed in between now and then.
Johnsons at 9:30, but I will most likely go earlier and check out that "other" trail there.
Got to the trailhead just before 10, thought everyone else had already started Chinamans, so I headed out. Saw some rigs coming through the first gate as I was leaving. Did Chinamans in less than an hour, and ran in to the group I thought I was chasing as they started and I got done. This was before noon, so I had time to go play on the "other" trail.
Carnage is not as bad as everyone made me believe it to be. Parked at the exit and checked out to the V notch. The exit is rough, but doable. Ran in to 3 nice Jeeps as we came out of the exit. Had also talked to Jeremy Kimmel as we were finishing Chinamans. I should have hung around longer and twisted his arm in to doing Carnage.
We then went around to the start with the plan of going to the V-notch or anything that looked too difficult. The only thing that really kicked my but were 2 rocks that looked like they had just been put, or fallen into their location. Turned around and went back out with plans for a skid-plate and traction bar in my mind. I will most definately be doing that trail soon.
