Chicago/West burbs - what's your favorite machine shop?

Hey guys,

I need some motor work done (likely just some head work) and I don't love my old machineshop (a place in Lombard) and would like to find a new shop. I'm not looking for speed shop type stuff, just work on the good ole daily-driver.

Specifically it's a cylinder head I'll need worked on, the usual, probably a resurface and maybe new stem seals, re-cut a few of the valves maybe too...if-needed.

My favorite was one on 111th west of Harlem. It was attached to a Napa or a Carquest and then it switched to one or the other, but it kept the same staff. A bunch of ancient old guys who seemed to do great work. I assume it is still there

Head work on a civic? Careful the threads don't pull out of the block after doing all that head work. Very common.
