I have this 1994 HDJ80, LH drive 24V start, batteries about 4 years old.
I changed alternator recently and checked charging voltages. Batteries are charged, headlights on.
At 1500 RPM alternator output is 14.V measured on alternator, which is fine. But charging voltage across battery poles is a bit lower than I like.
LH battery= 14.1 V, RH battery is 13.8V. That is, a voltage loss of 0.6V on RH battery.
Possible reasons I assume can be corrugated connections, bad connection in 12/24 V relay.
Anybody that have fixed this and have an advice?
