Ordered the switch yesterday and have read most the forums articles on the mod. Anyone here done this? Anything to be forwarned about? Looks pretty straight forward.

It's pretty easy. I've done it.

It's easier if you have some sort of pick (a dental pick works really well).

Cool. Maybe when I get the air downs we can mess with that a bit if the arrive around the same time. Dental picks rock! We use them all the time in the I.T. world LOL.

if you don't care about going back to stock it's easier to just snip the wire and put a piece of shrink on the ends for stray electron capture:D

did you get the real CDL button from slee? it's plug and play, hardest part is pulling the dummy plug out of the stock harness, did mine and a buddy's; mine is a junkyard hazard switch (free) and buddy's slee unit came with the rig, PO never installed.

I was kinda thinking the same thing on just clipping the wire, those term pics can be real PIA. Doubt I will ever go back to stock.

Almost pulled the trigger on the slee one, but looked like the one on their site was for '95 and up, plus spendy. Ended up getting a real "used" one from crusierparts.net. Half the price. :)

You don't need to clip the wire. Very easy to pull it. I did it without a terminal pick....

Cool :) I hate waiting for UPS.
