CB Wiring Questions

I am installing a Cobra 75 WX ST Compact and I'm looking for suggestions on where to tap into the electrical system on the FJC. I noticed there is a fuse panel under the drivers side dash, and one under the hood on the drivers side. Which on should I tap into? Also, what is the best method for attaching the power wire to the fuse panel....what type of conector, etc.

I have the same CB and ran it directly to the battery.

works great. just pulled one of the stock plugs throw the firewall and ran the CB antenna and power throw it.

This is good advice. The radio should have a dedicated, fused circuit directly off the battery. Fuse the + wire as close to the battery as possible.

The antenna, ideally, should be as high as possible, ie on the roof somewhere.
