We will be in Moab for 5 days next month and I am wondering if there are any places that we can explore in our 80 series. It is bone stock without lockers, so nothing super gnarly that may leave us stuck or stranded. We are also considering bringing our GSD pup with us, who will be 6 months old. Any pet friendly businesses or areas we should check out?

July in Moab? H O T - very hot. Keep that in mind. Water is your friend, and plenty of it.

Two classic trails that are great solo are Hells Revenge and Fins and Things. Both are close to town, and you could easily do both in a day. Each is usually well trafficed with tours and rentals to, so less chance of ending up in the middle of nowhere with no assistance options.

White rim trail for a 2 day adventure. Stop in at the NP visitor center at Island in the Sky, get an assigned campsite, and go enjoy. The best campsites are any of the Murphy Hogback sites, or White Crack.

No pets in Canyonlands NP. Not even in the vehicle.

We were in Moab for a few days last July, and it was indeed hot! Thanks for the info!
