Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,

The Carson National Forest, located in north central New Mexico, has announced the release of the Environmental Assessment (EA) for Travel Management on the Jicarilla Ranger District. The Forest Service (FS) will be accepting comments on the EA during a 30-day comment period.

The purpose of this comment period is to give the public an opportunity for early and meaningful participation on the EA for Travel Management on the Jicarilla Ranger District, prior to the Responsible Official's decision.

The EA and other information are available for review at the Carson National Forest's Travel Management website at http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/carson/recreation/travel_mgmt/index.shtml.

Written, facsimile, hand-delivered, oral, and electronic comments concerning this action will be accepted until March 12, 2010.

Oral comments must be provided at the Supervisor's Office during normal business hours via telephone (575) 758-6200 or in person, or at an official agency function (i.e. public meeting) that is designed to elicit public comments. The office business hours for those submitting hand-delivered comments are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Email comments should include "Travel Management-Jicarilla RD" in the subject line. Acceptable formats are email message, MS Word (.docx or .doc), Adobe (.pdf), plain text (.txt), or Rich Text Format (.rtf). Comments should include your name and address.

Please remember that your comments should include your name and address, the title of the project you are commenting on, and finally, specific facts or comments along with the supporting reasons you believe the Responsible Official should consider in reaching a decision.
