We're looking to rent a house second week of June in Carova. Anyone have any thoughts on the houses along the canals? Good, bad, whatever...

We got a house on VRBO.com last august. I was about 4 streets back in Swan Beach on Canal rd. Swan beach is only about 4 miles up so getting to stores etc was easy.
I really liked it. Driving down the the beach each day was part of the fun.
Even if you had a oceanfront house you would still drive to the beach.
If you are talking about the canals up north for boat access, I dont have any info on that.
Definitly recommend staying up there and exploring.

Yeah, we've rented a house further up on one of the canals. We're about 7 miles up the beach I think. We went through Twiddy but did see a couple on VRBO...
