got this across the mail today...in case kerry doesn't talk to you guys himself, thought i'd pass on the info.
Hello all ND Members,
I will be leading a group of wheelers from the Northern area down to the CCFK or "Toys for Tots" event at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Lakewood on December 6th.
I'm doing this for the CoA4WDCI in conjuction with the Trailridge Runners 4wd Club out of Longmont but am also extending this invitation to ALL off road enthusiasts. We are hoping to have a great turnout this year and show our support for the less fortunate kids in Colorado.
I will be setting up a meeting spot at the Park-N-Ride lot on the SE corner of I-25 and the Berthoud exit at 8:15 - 8:30 AM. We will leave there no later than 8:35 to head south on the frontage road to the N. Longmont exit (Highway 66) to meet the other group at the John Deere dealership on the SE corner. We hope to be on the road by 9:00 AM to head to the fairgrounds via I-25 to I-70 west. If you are farther north and want to set up a separate meeting spot that is fine. Please be able to meet up with the rest at either one of the locations prior to the departure time. We will be on CB channel 4 for communications.
Drive your 4WD if it is roadworthy up to 55mph or tow it if need be. You can also drive your DD if that is the only option. Also, feel free to decorate your rig as long as it's safe to drive on the highway. Hopefully we'll have good weather this year and windshield washers won't be needed!
Please remember to bring at least 1 toy (or as many as you can afford) as entrance to the event. There will be multiple vendors, free food, and the CoA4WDCI Raffle Vehicle will be on display and raffled off at Noon. This is your last chance to purchase tickets for the chance to win a very nice 2006 Jeep Unlimited.
If you have any questions feel free to email me at: kjbjeeper@juno.com or call (970) 290-1529.
Thanks and hope to see you there,
Kerry - CoA4WDCI Northern District VP
