I can get a good deal on one a few years old (2005?) EDIT 2004 but looks like good shape, i have always liked Cannondales, I have a F500 i still use to drag my 3 yrold around in her trailer...
It seems to be a decent mild DH/AM/XC frame design and i have always wanted to build up my own bike. Good idea?
I can get the frame for about $350 CAD
Or no?

Hmmm thats interesting. Problem is shipping those cheap used bikes up to where i am. It seems cheaper to buy new from Jensonusa or something similar instead of used where you gotta pay someone to take it apart, box up, ship. I will look into the Giants though, I know one of my best buds up here swears by them.

ah sorry didn't see where you were at. Jensen or Cambria bikes has been a long time favorite online retailer for me. I have used them for many purchaces. Definately look into the Giant bike line. The price, quality and components can't be beat.

I've raced and ridden a Jeckyll for many years now and still enjoy its capabilites. Not a bad setup compared to its peers, but even against some modern designs. For instance I love how you can adjust the geometry from xc to downhill in about 2 minutes. A unique and exclusive feature

Thanks, that seems to be the consensus from anyone i know that has had one or ridden one, even the local dealer told me he thought they made a mistake phasing it out for the Prophet, which is not nearly as adjustable to different riding. I like a lockout front and back so i can drag my 3 yr old around in her trailer.

What front shock are you running Doug?
I have a Headshok Ultra Fatty sitting here waiting for its frame-mate to arrive in the mail.
