can one find the messages on the old forum by thread number?

apparently, the links to the old forum messages are no longer working.
I've been trying to see if I could get them back by the old thread numbers, both through the search and by replacing the numbers in the address, but no luck. Seems like the old numbers are no longer valid in the new forum.
Any way to do this or in general to make the old links work again?

Unfortunately vBulletin uses a completely different method of tracking posts and such.

You CAN still temporarily access the old forum tho....until I take time to remove it later this month

I was thinking more in terms of all the links embedded in messages and referring to other threads, as these are no longer working.
