Im heading to Savannah for St. Pats, looking for a place to camp somewhere between there and Charleston. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ya'll

Hunting Island X2. Closer than Edisto, right on the beach, and they have pet crocodiles!
On the way in or out don't miss the Shrimp Shack, ramshackle screened in elevated eatery across the road from Gay Shrimp Co (yeah really). Shrimp burgers to die for.

We used to go campin down on hunting island back in scouts....was always a great place to camp...take some pics it's been a long time since I've been out there.

thanks for the advice. we ended up staying at hunting island on our way south. we got in late and left early but really enjoyed it. the site was great, a little windy but nice. we had a chance to drive around the park a little before we left. hunting island is on my list of favorites now. if ya'll ever make it to sebastian inlet you have to camp at long point park. it is my all time favorite. we camped there for the past 5 days. they have sites right on the indian river, decent facilities, good fishing and tons of nice people. thanks again for the imput
