Ok, so it's not really a recall, more of a PSA, but still...

There has been a problem cropping up with the bolt studs that hold the body of the cam latches on the panel, some of them are pulling out.

This has happened to 4 of the latches I've sent out, a small percentage, but still unacceptable.

I've been making a simple change to all the latches I've been installing that should make them bomb proof.
It only takes a couple of new bolts and is a very easy fix, if you have any problems with your latches, or just don't want to have any down the line, drop me an email and I'll get you set up with the hardware you need to fix the problem.

Below are photos of the fix.

So here is where the problem happens, Southco has a weak design point where the stud is pressed into the latch body.
My fix means that there are two exposed fasteners so it is not as clean, but I prefer strong to clean any day.
(I actually think they look kind of cool with the fix :p)

This makes sure that they should be rock solid for anything short of a sledge hammer beating.

The black stainless fasteners blend in quite well and have the look of rivets, I'm pretty happy with the ease and strength of the mod and I rather like the new look.

So, if you have any problems with your latches at all, just let me know and this should fix them right up.
