So, it is a week before I leave for the FJSummit in the 80 and it starts to have electrical problems. Let's say, I am thankful it has happened at my house instead of on top of a mountain with my family. I have 2500 miles on it since I put it in my 80. No problems until now.

Specs:
04 5.3 Truck engine from an Avalanche
New harness about 1 year old.
Drive by wire. (questioning that decision)

Last week it started with a P2135 with not throttle. So I put a new throttle body on.
Now consistently throws P2135, P0220. It also threw P1516 but since had disappeared.

I have read some forums and checked the TB connector and wires. Things look good.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you for your help.

When I installed it, the pedal was bad and I go another one from the salvage yard that worked. Doesn't mean it went bad too. I've been thinking about just going ahead and ordering a new pedal, TAC and pedal to TAC harness. That way I know it's new.

When I get to the point (which will be a while) when I get the 5.3 in the 45 I am doing away with the pedal and going with a cable.

Dude, this got me thinking about ditch'n all the DBW crap. So yea, do it! That will be a sweet ride.

oddly - I have been thinking about ditching the DBW as well. Not because it doesn't work, but rather because my engine is from a 2006 silverado and for whatever reason GM changed the design of the pedal and it just doesn't fit in the cruiser footwell. On top of that, there's not a way to retro back to the older design without changing everything (pedal, harness, tac module, and TB).

Also, there's no way to signal the PCM when the a/c is active so you can't bump the idle speed a little to compensate for the additional drag when the compressor kicks on.

This thread says it could be harness related:

Error code P 2135 throttle position sensor.....Anyone?

check the connections at the TB.

yeah I double checked the harness. still a no go. I am going to call the harness manufacture and talk to them.
