With the low turnout on recent events, I am calling on all members for some new ideas in which you would attend.

I love wheeling and would go more often if the costs weren't so much.

I realize this is not what everyone wants to do, so let me know and we can get it on the calendar.

We could go back to monthly meetings or a meeting every two months. Targeted emails to members that may not be on mud all the time.

Club Website

While your getting everyone's attention, I have access to the web domain and hope to get things moving with it soon.

Meetings could still be monthly but maybe move them around so solicit more participation? We can do a Myrtle Beach again or closer to Sumter/Columbia?

Gulches, HAMOMS, Bi-monthly meetings. Just my $.02.

And definitely get something going with the website, calendar, schedule and registration for events.

Single day wheelin events would be good. It would save lots of time and money.

Not if it costs you over $100 in gas to tow your rig. With staying over night you get more bang for your buck while you are there. Besides, about the only single day trip within reach of Charleston is Gulches. Still cost me $60 to tow my junk there and I am only 2 hours away.

So it's down to 4 members now, huh?

Jeremy

Don't know about the others but I just can't get away any at all latley. I've been in Greenwood 6 days a week for the last 4 months or so and it doesn't look like much improvement in the future. But I am still lurking and will be active when I can. But I can say that moving it around sounds good: only problem the low number of turn outs at anything other than some wheeling events and some food stops. I know the hammons for others at my place were poorly attended. And when I was planning on working on my rig only David and Brock showed up so we worked on their rigs then too. Now I know I am guilty I can't seem to get away for the hammons or even meetings, but I am still lurking and hoping we can hold it together because there are some good guys and good times still ahead. Just my .02----- looking at the worst and hoping for the best. I'm not sure but maybe we need to shoot for a meeting every 2 or 3 months and plan an agenda(minievent) who knows just and idea.

Doc, good to see you on line and thank you for your input. I too have had other events (job and family related) that have kept me away or not as active. Not a reason to bail on the club though. Anyone can 'step up' and keep it going during these times. We are volunteers some by default.

Dave B has been in the same boat; we are just a club, it will come back around.

Rather counting "down" the membership lets try to keep it going.

Thanks

I am back in town also. I was in the mtns for a week. No wheeling, but we hasd a good time.
Let's keep the ideas coming, we can add any where nessesary. I would like to have meetings more often. I know everyone can't be at every one, but scheduled far enough in advance, we can have a productive meeting.

Hamom's are always a good thing, and the January one for Scott is nessesary as he is still laid up and can't lift anything yet or get around very well.
I've only had one to contact me about coming, so far. Think about if you need any work done in the future we are glad to help.

Where is it going to be at, your house or what??? I am so glad to hear that he is getting better. Sometimes prayer works.

Scheduled meetings. If every 3 months is the best way to get folks involved than we need to do it. HAMOMs are good because who wants to pay someone you can coax buddies into showing you how to do too.
I think a quarterly wheelin' trip too even if they are one day events, which I usually make them due to the long drive. Even short overnight camping and wheeling trips are good.

Some places to think about for upcoming wheeling trips to the Upstate:

Gulches (obviously)
Gorges
Carves Mill Rd. (Spartanburg)
Fruit Mountain (?)
Rices OHV
