The Mammoth and Mono Lake Ranger Districts of the Inyo National Forest are initiating an environmental analysis for changes to the motorized trail and road network on the two districts. The Motorized Transportation System Modifications project will consider adding and removing routes in various locations - mainly between Mammoth Lakes and Lee Vining. The purpose of the project is to improve important recreational, tribal and permitted-use access and address safety concerns, while improving resource conditions.
