I am in process of purchasing a 98 LC and it needs a new bumper cover and rear passenger door panel. (Dogs in back seat must have chewed up the door panel.) Also needing wood trim pieces for around the gear shift and window buttons. Can anyone point me to a good place to buy these items?

Thanks

Start in the classifieds section here, several 100's being parted out.

For the bumper cover I'd check Craigslist. Most people don't want to ship something that big so local is a better place to look. Where are you located, I have both front and rear bumper covers listed on Craigslist right now....

For a while I was thinking of replacing all of my interior wood trim. Then I peeled it off and in my opinion it looks much cleaner and more modern. Since it sounds like it needs replaced anyway, peel it off first and see what you think. You might like it and save some $.
This. I took two days peeling mine off, you'll like it. Besides I think those faux wood kits are like $250, yikes.

Here's a shot of the door panel without the "wood". Peel it off and paint your speaker grilles and it'll look 10 years newer.

Anyone have any specific/recommended tools or methods to use to remove the wood trim?

Is there any residue left when you try to remove these glued wood trim pieces? If so, what did you use to get it off?

Did the wood pieces come off of the dash/shifter area as easy as the doors?

I bought grout scrapers and broke all of them, I ended up just pulling off what I could wearing gloves for grip then used elbow grease and rag and rubbed, a lot. Wasn't fun, took a weekend and it was off. Have one corner I forgot, top right section of shifter console. If you live somewhere hot it helps to open sunroof and doors and let it sit for a bit, helped mine anyway. Or buy a heatgun and make quicker work of it.

Get the trim hot, either by closing up the truck on a hot day or with a hair dryer. Use an interior trim tool and carefully pry up the corner and work slowly. You can also try fishing line to remove. What lglue is left can be rolled off with your fingers. You can follow up with wd-40 to get it squeaky clean.
