buggy concept

I got to thinking about a radical buggy idea and wanted to bounce it off of folks. I don't know if I could get the parts together to actually build something like it, but it seems like a good idea on the surface.

I made up a page real quick with a down and dirty solid model. It doesn't have steering, fuel, cooling or anything like that, just enough to get an idea.

Because it didn't work as well.

four diffs. seem a little much.

This thing wouldn't be cheap and could never be stupid proof
sound like re-buildability would be a pain in the ass(so many different parts)

this seems like your reinviting the wheel in some ways. many rock buggys now can 0 turn or atleast get close enough to it. It might be a cool idea to think about full hydro.

that gives you all of the pluses you've talked about and you use one small engine powering a pump. No drive lines no tranfers case plus a tank of hydrolic flued at the bottom of the frame would be great for your COG

Here a thought that I have been pondering for some time. Why not build the rig with semi-indepentant suspension? The basic premise is a indepentant suspension with a center pivot about the chassis. This would let the suspension act as a SA with additoinal travel and ground clearance. Other than complexity, the only downfall is CV joint. Why not, you already have the complexity at a 8.5 level... :D
