I'm already booked for that weekend, but it was certainly interesting last time around (my first trip). I saw ton of Jeeps, a Rover or two, several retired military Deuce and 1-half trucks pulling out stuck vehicles.

Oh yeah, there were several bikini clad females, but I'm pretty sure they were only there looking for the Ham radio guys.

Yep. Franklin county's best citizens all come out for it. :D

I agree, this fella has to be from Franklin County, he's actually on a front porch.

It's simple logic, trailers don't have front porches, therefore he cannot be from Jeffco.

Not to mention he has teeth. Everyone knows the "tooth" brush was invented in Jeffco.

WFD - where do you find this stuff????

Sad but true.

BTW, I like the new avatar. Sadly, since riding in your 40 I haven't seen one for sale that seemed "worth it."

You may have found the nicest original 40 alive.

What are you talkin about. All of these trailers have porches.

FRONT porch. Trailers only have POS steps on the side which I seem to fall through every time one catches on fire. It's happened 3x now.

Dang, that's a freaking MANSION!

Its what their home would look like if Swiss Family Robinson were rednecks. (Redneck Family Robinson)

I was thinking it's a European type complex. The front doors are on the opposite side. and the lack of stuff in the yard which can be readily purchased from Wal-Mart is a dead giveaway.

Actually its a set in an amphitheatre for a play. You can actually see the concrete wall at the bottom of the pic that separates the stage from the audience.

INSO Buchanan Mudfest Sept 2008 info

Hello everyone! I can see that you are experts in everything 4x4 so I'm hoping you can help me with getting some info about Buchanan Mudfest in September...if there is one planned. I have tried the website but either my computer is on the brink again or the website has some trouble, can't get to it from here. I'm in southern Missouri so a road trip to Robertsville would be a breeze. Is there a September Mudfest this year? If so, what are the particulars for just regular spectators? What about a person who gets there and after seeing all the fun, decided he'd like to go ahead and take a run? Would it be too late to enter at that point? I'd really appreciate any info you all have...we have a local mudding here but it doesn't look like it could hold a candle to the pics I"ve seen from Mudfest. Thanks all!

Uh, scroll up to the top of this thread and you'll see the date is September 13, 2008.

As for watching vs participating, you pretty much show up and pay to get into the 'park' which is really a farm field. Whether you just want to watch or want to get in on the action, that's up to you. Once you pay, you're in - watch or play either way.

If you want more than just mud, hook up with us and head to Wa*shi*ta for trails and rocks and mud and carnage (easy on the carnage though).

Hope this helps - welcome to mud :flipoff2: (official mud welcome).
