hi all

My drivers seat has broken. I drive a KZJ70, LandCruiser II

i thought i'd take the old seats from my 205 Pug put them on the runners from the LC and job done.... but no, whadda load of crock.

Is it the case with all 70 series vehicles that the height between the left hand side [LHS] and right hand side [RHS] seat runners is so different? I think the height difference between the two sides is at least an inch if not more..

So my initial questions are:

is the difference in height between LHS and RHS seat runners unique to the KZJ70 or is it common on all 70+ series LandCruisers?

If the difference in height is common... who do people go to to get aftermarket brakets so that you can fit an aftermarket seat that is level and not sloping dramatically towards the door trim?

thanks for your help!

You weld your own set up or modify the existing set to accomodate a new seat. If there was a place that sold them i'm sure they would cost $$$$$. A friend of mine put a set of minivan seats in his 60 with a bit of modding they turned out nice it just took time.

All the 70s are like that although the KZJ maybe slightly different
Would it be easier to fix your old seats?Show us a pic of the broken part

Thinking of the set of sliders and the set of suspension seat bases I have in storage, they look equal in height between the sides. They are from a BJ71 and a BJ74 I think. Maybe the next time I'm there I'll snap some pics. The 75 has different heights because of the fuel tank location.
